The label must name the producer or food business (name or company name and address) and, for imported products, the importer's name and address, and must show the ONSSA sanitary authorisation or approval number (Decree 2-10-473, Art. 14) in the format ONSSA publishes (Decree 2-12-389, Art. 11 and 28 bis).

Label information must be written in Arabic, optionally also in other languages (Art. 8), with a minimum character height of 1 mm on most packs; it must carry country of origin, lot, and nutrition information where required or where a claim is made (Art. 11).

Only health claims on the list fixed by joint order of the agriculture and health ministers may appear on food (Art. 26 bis); any nutrition or health claim triggers mandatory nutrition information (Art. 11, item 11; Joint Order 281-16).
